The journey that brought me here has been nothing short of a miracle—a story of resilience, redemption, and a relentless pursuit of purpose.
Growing up on the tough streets of New York City, I faced incredible adversity. Like many, I turned to drugs, alcohol, and violence as a way to cope. After decades of struggling, I had a God-given spiritual awakening on July 31, 2011, which changed my life forever. Sobriety became my new way of life, and since then, I’ve dedicated myself to inspiring others—especially our youth—to make better choices and live a life of abundance.
Even as sobriety transformed me, life presented new challenges. In 2023, I received a life-saving heart transplant. That experience deepened my commitment to kindness, service, and spreading a message of hope and healing.
This year, I shared my story with the world in my memoir, “Embrace Abundance”, which became a bestseller. It’s been a privilege to speak, consult, and advocate for mental and physical wellness through my partnership with E-motion Wellness Center in San Antonio.
Now, as a board member of the How U Doin Foundation, I’m excited to continue serving others, particularly in empowering young people and adults to rewrite their stories. Your past does not define you—every day is a chance to begin anew.
I look forward to collaborating with Eddie Fischer and the incredible team to bring hope, resources, and transformation to those teenagers in need.
Together we can make a difference one How U Doin at a time!
