Robert Keeker is an experienced professional who has provided leadership for organizations in various industries for more than 20 years. Shortly after September 11th, 2001, Robert withdrew from college and began his commitment to service and leadership as an Infantry Rifleman in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his honorable discharge in 2006, he returned to college at Texas Christian University (TCU), and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science.
Robert then entered the corporate workplace serving in leadership roles for large financial services corporations, consulting firms, and corporate intelligence agencies. With a strong desire to create a larger impact in the community, Robert left the corporate realm and joined the Irving Fire Department as a Firefighter/EMT, and eventually served as the Public Information Officer for the department. During Robert’s time as a first responder, he founded a company focused on hiring Veterans exiting the service and struggling to find their footing. Robert’s personal struggles with finding gainful employment, and his mental/physical health problems upon his exit, made it clear that more resources were needed for this community.
Currently Robert serves as the Production Manager for a Fort Worth design and build firm as well as a council member for the Town of Northlake. His commitment to service, leadership, and mission accomplishment has led him to joining the How U Doin foundation as a board member. He looks forward to helping the organization further its positive impact and creating a place of belonging for teens battling substance abuse and mental health issues.
