Biography

I am honored to serve as a dedicated board member of the How U Doin Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to making a positive impact on the lives of teen boys and girls aged 13-17 who are grappling with mental health and substance abuse challenges. With a passion for financial planning and a deep commitment to mental health and substance abuse recovery, I bring a unique blend of expertise to the foundation’s mission.
My Background: As a Certified Financial Planner and the Lead Advisor for Brighton Jones in Houston, Texas, I have spent years helping individuals and families secure their financial futures and navigate complex financial landscapes. My educational journey led me to Texas Tech University, where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Personal Financial Planning. This academic foundation has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the financial aspects of non-profit management and fundraising.

In addition to my financial expertise, I have a profound commitment to mental health and substance abuse recovery. For the past 12 years, I have been a small business owner of Stages of Recovery, a company dedicated to assisting those struggling with mental health and substance abuse challenges. My experience as a person in long-term recovery has given me a unique perspective and deep empathy for individuals and families facing these difficulties. Over the years, I have had the privilege of helping countless families find hope and healing.

My Commitment to the How U Doin Foundation:
As a board member, I am dedicated to using my financial expertise, personal experience in recovery, and the skills honed through years of entrepreneurship to support the How U Doin Foundation’s mission. I firmly believe that early intervention and support can make a significant difference in the lives of young boys facing mental health and substance abuse challenges. By leveraging my background, I aim to contribute to the foundation’s efforts to provide essential resources and guidance to these teens and their families.
In addition to my professional and personal experiences, I am deeply committed to community involvement and giving back. It is a privilege to be part of an organization that aligns with my values and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young individuals.

Conclusion: I am genuinely excited to join the How U Doin Foundation’s board and collaborate with a passionate team dedicated to improving the lives of teen boys facing mental health and substance abuse challenges. Together, we can provide vital support, resources, and hope to those who need it most
