Biography

Dustin Huckabe, LCSW, is a person in long-term recovery and has maintained sobriety since May 2011. Originally from San Antonio, TX he is married to Emma Huckabe. The couple moved to Lubbock, Texas, in 2013, where Dustin attended the Center for Collegiate Recovery Communities at Texas Tech University.
 
After Emma graduated from Texas Tech in 2018, they relocated to Norman, Oklahoma. Dustin went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2020 and completed his master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Oklahoma in 2021.
 
Dustin is the recipient of the 2019 National Collegiate Recovery Student of the Year Award, presented by the Association of Recovery in Higher Education, in recognition of his leadership in creating a dedicated recovery space for students on campus. He was also named the 2019 BSW Student of the Year and is a two-time recipient of the Anne and Henry Zarrow Social Justice Award (2020–2021).
 
Dustin is deeply committed to restoring families, individuals, and communities impacted by addiction and mental health challenges. His passion for creating safe, supportive environments for those who are struggling is unmatched and continues to positively influence the lives of those around him.
