How the Argyle, Texas Business Community Stepped Up for Teens
Sometimes, the most powerful moments happen in the simplest ways. At a recent Argyle Business Group meeting, something incredible unfolded. While sharing an update on the How U Doin Foundation’s mission to open a teen clubhouse in Northlake, I mentioned that we were just $3,000 short of our $100,000 goal.
That’s when Matt Kipp asked the question:
“How close are you?”
Before I could even finish explaining, something beautiful happened. One by one, people in the room stood up — not to clap, not to cheer — but to pledge. In just a few minutes, the gap disappeared. Right there, on a regular morning, in a room full of local business leaders, the final $3,000 was covered.

It wasn’t about the money. It was about what the money means. It means teens in Northlake will soon have a place to go — a safe, welcoming clubhouse where they can grow, connect, and feel supported.
