I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. I have been providing counseling services to adults and adolescents since 2016. I specialize in providing individual counseling for those struggling with anxiety, grief and loss, and adoption-related concerns.
My primary approach to therapy is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors – and how changing unhelpful thoughts can improve emotional well-being. It’s not just what happens to us that affects how we feel but how we interpret what happens. Together I work with clients on shifting distorted thinking patterns to change their outlook on life.
Before opening my own private practice, I earned my Bachelor of Business in Marketing from Tarleton State University. After a 13-year career in the corporate world of marketing and sales, I returned to school to pursue my passion in the counseling field. I graduated with my Master of Art in Professional Counseling from Amberton University.
When not at work I can be found spending time with family, traveling, cooking or riding my horse. I’ve always enjoyed trying new foods, horseback riding, traveling and anything outdoors.
